Additionally, as you browse the Website, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Website and information about how you interact with the Website. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Website (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Website (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Website, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Newsletter Subscription and Marketing Emails
On our Website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to Velettà's VIP List. The input mask used for this purpose determines what personal data are transmitted, as well as when the newsletter is ordered from the controller.

We inform our customers regularly by means of emails and our newsletter about offers and other relevant information. Velettà’s newsletter and other Velettà correspondence may only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid email address and (2) the data subject registers to receive the newsletter/emails.

During the registration for the Velettà VIP List, we also store the IP address of the computer system assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by the data subject at the time of the registration, as well as the date and time of the registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to understand the (possible) misuse of the email address of a data subject at a later date, and it, therefore, serves the aim of the legal protection of the controller.

The personal data collected as part of a registration for the Velettà VIP List will only be used to send our newsletter, Velettà offers and skin care information or information relevant to the brand. There will be no transfer of personal data collected by the Velettato third parties except where a third party is used to compile and send our newsletter or offers such as MailChimp or Facebook or Instagram. The subscription to our newsletter/VIP list may be terminated by the data subject at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data, which the data subject has given for shipping the newsletter or offers, may be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revocation of consent, a corresponding link is found in each newsletter or email. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter or emails at any time directly on the  Website of the controller or to communicate this to the controller in a different way.

Newsletter and Email Tracking
Our newsletters and marketing emails contain tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphics embedded in such emails, which are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This allows a statistical analysis of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, we may see if and when an email was opened by a data subject, and which links in the email were called up by data subjects.

Such personal data collected in the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters and emails are stored and analysed by the controller in order to optimize the shipping of the newsletter, as well as to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the data subject. This personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Data subjects are at any time entitled to revoke their declaration of consent to receive newsletters.

After a revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the controller. We automatically regard a withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

Our Website contains information that enables a quick electronic contact to our enterprise, as well as direct communication with us via an email address. If a data subject contacts the controller by email or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject are automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted on a voluntary basis by a data subject to the data controller are stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject

Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
