Cleansing with oil, are you mad?

I used to think that to really clean my skin, I needed to use foaming cleansers and harsh astringents; that in order for my skin to be free of dirt, it needed to feel tight.

I was so wrong.

In fact, this moisture-robbing routine was making my skin oilier and undermining the skin barrier function.

When I ditched the chemical-laden irritants and started using botanic cleansing oils, my skin radically improved. Oil cleansers are brilliantly effective at dissolving make-up and removing dirt and pollution without stripping the skin of moisture. They’re ideal for all skin types; so while it may seem counterintuitive to use a cleansing oil when you have oily skin that is prone to break out, it actually removes excess sebum, helping to prevent acne, while conditioning areas of dry skin.

I was thrilled to discover that cleansing oil is so gentle that I can use it to remove mascara.  Not only is it perfect for my sensitive eyes (every other eye makeup remover I have tried has burned), but it conditions my lashes at the same time.

Using our Velettà Cleansing Oil is so easy:

1. Press your hands to your face and neck, allowing the oil to melt into your skin.
2. Use firm, upwards strokes to ensure that the oil covers your entire face.
3. Remove with a warm, damp facecloth.
4. If you’re wearing heavy makeup, repeat the above steps to ensure skin is completely clean.
5. Apply Velettà Rejuvenating Oil

Using firm upward strokes to apply the Velettà Cleansing oil to the skin helps dislodge any hardened sebum lodged in pores which means clearer skin. It will also increase blood flow and improve lymphatic drainage while energising skin increasing the effectiveness of the oils.

I love using Velettà Cleansing Oil and now have skin that is nourished, bright, dewy and blemish-free. Why not give it try?
