For a long time, the cosmetics industry focused on making skin appear to be fresh and glowing rather than focusing on achieving healthy skin; perhaps forgetting that healthy skin is beautiful skin.
Its all about healthy skin
At Velettà we believe healthy skin starts with natural skincare and so we produce natural products that are both effective and good for you. We proudly display all of our product ingredients on our labels and on our website and we explain the purpose of each in our ingredients glossary.
We think what we leave out of our daily skin care is as important as what we put in. Velettà products are made without parabens, artificial fragrances, and unnecessary preservatives. We also avoid any bulkers or fillers. As your skin is your body’s biggest organ, it makes sense to only put ingredients on it that you’d be happy to have in your body.
Preservatives are necessary
Just to be clear, we use preservatives in our products and believe wholeheartedly that they are both appropriate and necessary. Preservative-free products are more likely to contain mould, bacteria, and microbial growth. We are simply not willing to put our customers at risk. Furthermore, our New Zealand made products are produced by a highly reputable manufacturer in small batches and each batch is thoroughly tested before being released for sale.
Some ingredients should not touch your skin

“Parabens, Propylene, Butylene Glycols, Petroleum, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), PEGs, Diethanolamine, Triethanolamine, Phthalates, artificial dyes, artificial fragrances, fillers, soy, wheat, gluten, animal products or alcohol”.

We will be doing a series of blogs on the ingredients we do not include and the reasons why we don’t believe they have a place in Velettà skincare. Some of the ingredients are perfectly acceptable in skincare just not ours, our brand is cruelty-free and vegan (and therefore plant-based) while also being halal-certified (and therefore doesn’t contain animal products or
The first blog in the series will put a spotlight on parabens.
